Sneakerboy, a relatively new retailer in kicks culture, calls Australia its home with each of their stores aligned on the coast Down Under. Thus, they have a large affinity for the sea and its many creatures. Because of this, they look to the deep blue sea for inspiration for their adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange with Atlanta-based Wish.
Atlanta, home to Georgia Aquarium which is one of only four institutions in the world which houses the box jellyfish, the deadliest of its kind in the world, is an indigenous creative to the Australian coast. Sneakerboy and Wish find commonality in this specimen and center two collaborative adidas silhouettes around this native Australian fish.
Canvassing the adidas PureBOOST and Climacool in Primeknit fabrication, Sneakerboy and Wish raise the profile of each silhouette while finding causality in a place few choose to look. The Sneakerboy x Wish x adidas Consortium Collection will see a pre-release on May 13 at Sneakerboy.com and WishATL.com followed by a general release on May 17 at global Consortium doors.
