The adidas Forums have been having a moment lately and we have to say we’re a big fan of the revival — especially the ‘84s. This time around, adidas gives the Forum ‘84 Lows the “Suns” treatment and it’s looking hot.
With off-white, aged leather the sneaker looks as if it’s spent some time in the sun. The lateral side has highlights of white leather complete with the adidas three-stripes in textured purple suede, that are then inverted to orange on the inner. The tongue has contrasts of white mesh that is finished with an ‘84 tongue tab and velcro strap to secure the laces. The upper lining has hints of purple corduroy that contrast against the orange heel counter with a corresponding orange ‘84 logo embroidered on the back.
Unfortunately, these sneakers come at a time where The Suns were just defeated by The Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 NBA Finals. This is only the second time that The Suns have appeared in the NBA Finals, as Charles Barkley led the team to play against Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls in 1993. It seems that the city of Phoenix harvested a lot of newfound Pride during the 2021 Finals, so we’ll see if that spirit is strong enough to hang around for this drop.
The adidas Forum ‘84 Low “Suns” are set to release sometime in 2021 for a retail price of $100. They’ll be available to purchase online through adidas and from select retailers as well. Be sure to keep it locked on our Sneaker Release Dates page for updates on the drop.
