For the current NBA season, adidas is set to drop Donovan Mitchell’s signature D.O.N. Issue 2 in a regal black and gold outfit, which acts as a possible nod to a Finals-or-bust mentality.
Marking the second signature silhouette of Mitchell’s, this adidas D.O.N. #2 sports a black lightweight mesh construction, paired with matching tongues and an exaggerated heel. Elevating the overall look are gold zig-zag stitch patterns on the toe, gold speckled detailing on the midsole, and gold signature branding. As an additional shout-out to the NBA Championships, the sneaker aptly boasts “CHAMPIONSHIPS” on the medial wall. Rounding out the final design cues is bounce cushioning and a rubber outsole.
Look for the adidas D.O.N. Issue 2 to release at select adidas retailers and adidas.com on April 9. The pair will retail for $100.
