English designer Stella McCartney and adidas have established a partnership for years on end, and they’ve collaborated again on the STELLARUN Collection, which was designed with sustainability in mind. The collection consists of a Made to be Remade crop tee which uses a QR code to give back to adidas to be made into something new and a new sneaker, the adidas Earthlight Mesh.
The Earthlight Mesh utilizes Primeblue in the upper, a high-performance recycled yarn featuring 50% or more of the Parley Ocean Plastic, and the EVA midsole is partially recycled. The stacked EVA midsole, in conjunction with the shape and design of the outsole, has been tested to give a more efficient roll-off and push forward while running or walking. Additionally, Stella McCartney and adidas branding is seen on the tongue and the nylon overlay on the heel and transparent mesh paneling on the quarter panel and toebox for breathability.
