If not for a string of injuries that have literally hampered the 2014-2015 Oklahoma City Thunder since opening night, some could make the case for Russell Westbrook being the league’s MVP this season. Now while advanced metric enthusiasts may snark at the previous assertion, check Russ’ stats. The dynamic guard has turned in a litany of triple-doubles this season along with a myriad of notable scoring outputs such as 49 points against the New Orleans Pelicans, 48 points against the Sixers of Philadelphia and an impressive 54 points in a loss to the Indiana Pacers last night, helping bring Russ’s in-season averages to a staggering 27.9 points per game, 8.6 assists and 7.2 rebounds per outing.
So, despite the Thunder’s season from the depths of despair, we here at Nice Kicks saw fit that we celebrate the guard by viewing some of his best PE’s.
