adidas‘ newest endorser is already making a positive impact on the brand beyond just shoe sales. San Antonio Spurs forward Matt Bonner recently made waves when he dropped his New Balances for Three Stripes, lacing the same adidas Crazy 8 silhouette that he wore in high school. Bonner came to a goodwill agreement with the company, and less than a month later adidas has made a substantial contribution to his Rock On Foundation in support of the nonprofit’s inaugural NBA All-Star Weekend fundraising music event, the Alt-Star Party. Rock On shoots to enrich the quality of life in communities by supporting the athletic, artistic, and scholastic initiatives, and their first Alt-Star Party in New Orleans will distribute a portion of its proceeds to The Roots of Music, a NO-based nonprofit. This alternative NBA All-Star event is headlined by Grammy-nominated artists and will feature special surprises.
