Eric “Shake” James Turns Milwaukee Into Wearable Art With the adidas W.T.M. Forum

Milwaukee’s own Eric “Shake” James is back with adidas for another city-driven collaboration, this time unveiling the adidas W.T.M. Forum, short for What The Milwaukee. Created alongside creative director Alexander John, the project transforms Milwaukee’s culture, history, and identity into a bold footwear statement that celebrates the people and places that continue to shape the city.

The W.T.M. Forum pulls inspiration from Milwaukee’s neighborhoods, wildlife, local food scene, and community landmarks, blending them together through layered materials, textures, colors, and storytelling details. Taking a “What The” approach, the sneaker features mismatched left and right shoes that reflect the diverse experiences and perspectives that make Milwaukee unique. The design also carries forward storytelling elements and material cues from Shake’s previous adidas collaborations, creating a deeper connection to the city and the community that inspired it.

Beyond the product, the release continues Shake’s mission of using sneakers as a vehicle for impact. Every pair comes with tickets to Summerfest 2026, along with a special insert that breaks down the inspiration behind each design element. The launch will be supported by a month-long series of community activations throughout Milwaukee, including youth sneaker customization workshops, mentorship opportunities, in-store experiences, and a Juneteenth celebration featuring the giveaway of 500 bikes and helmets. Through his ongoing partnership with adidas Cornerstone Community, Shake continues to invest in Milwaukee’s next generation while spotlighting the stories that make the city special.

The SNEEX x adidas Forum “What The Milwaukee” will be available exclusively via Sneex retail locations and online at Sneex3rdWard.com on June 6, 2026, for $180.
