2.) adidas SL Loop Moc – Wheat / White

NDP: I’m also going to preface this, by saying that if there’s one or two models that you don’t have in your 5 – I’m going to yell at you afterwards about it. [laughs]

BF: Ok fine! [laughs] The other one that I argue with myself every morning and I have a problem not wearing is the SL Loop Moc, in the wheat colorway. I think that shoe is fucking ill, and it shows that you can do something that is modern, new and different, and it doesn’t have to be some sort of rocket ship. It’s really well made and smart the way it’s constructed. It’s a super good shoe.

NDP: I like those a lot, and I actually thought about getting the black pair and de-stitching the zig zag that wraps around the toe, and then just leaving the stripes on the midfoot. But I didn’t quite get my hands on a pair just yet. I really like the topline on that shoe though, and then the collar has a cool deconstructed finish to it. It’s not overly built.

BF: That came out of my design team in my old position, and then I switched jobs right when they came out, but just to show how much I like that shoe, I still went and paid full retail for them when I was out on the road. Since I’m a sample size, and then we also have an employee discount of course, I haven’t bought a pair of shoes for full retail in probably 12 years. [laughs] But those are great.
