Goadome + Foamposite = Nike Air Foamdome

Maybe a bit of a coincidence to followup our feature about hybrids, but I think there was a bit destiny! Nike launched a large scale marketing and product development project last winter centered around the boot market. Across the east coast many hang up their kicks for something designed to handle the harsher, outside elements of winter, but Nike was not ready to let everyone switch away from the swoosh for the season. This winter, the Nike Air Max Goadome will release again in its usual form, but complimenting the staple Nike boot is a hybrid with the Air Foamposite creating the Nike Air Foamdome. Penny fans have had it good for the past two years with the return of the Foamposite in a number of colors, the Penny II, and Penny III on the horizon, but this may be a too much for some purists. Maybe not for everyone (Texas winters never have boots in the forecast except ostrich skin at the steakhouse), this boot definitely speaks to saying that with Nike, “expect the unexpected.” We have heard that these will be in stores starting in late November/early December for $225, but Dave Jeff of PHLI in Chicago was treated to a pair ahead of everyone else. Is this taking things too far?

13. i knew they would cost gwop. the ACG boots already cost like 150 light. the foamposities already cost 200 light. these were gonna be over 200 either way. these look hella doofy. i love my acg boots. they are comfortable by boot standard and they keep my feet warmer than ANY pair of timberland constructs could, but this is terrible. they look fatter. looks like something mega man should wear

    That may have been a joke, but it crosses the line. I won’t go too deep into the it, but if you look at the photos, that pair was made in Taiwan for starters.

82. Its not really taking things to far, you get what you like. Its 08 and getting ready to be 09, its time for something different. Shoe brands need to come up with something real fresh and fire, and stop releasing these plain retros. I mean don’t get me wrong, retros are great, especially when a shoe brand releases a retro that you didn’t able to get, but in time, its time for a change and go in another direction. These brands, especially Jordan Brand, need to stop making these hybrid shoes and come up with something real different and fresh. 118. True Goadome heads wouldn’t even ask questions, just break bread like I did. These aren’t for penny-pinching pretty boys. More exclusivity for those in the know. If you been wearing premium nike boots since the turn of the millenium, these are just the natural progression. Slightly heavier than standard Domes, but slightly more comfortable. All my Atlanta Dome heads know what it is.
     P.S. Nike: Where are the nubuck all black and/ or all gray Goadomes? Long overdue.

122. yaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnnn…oh for real. I live in VA, so of course I got them black ACGs…I also got about five pairs of AM90 boots chillin in boxes that are about to go to the Salvation Army today. I saw a pic of Wale holding a pair at a show and they looked alright, but those blue ones are sucky (retro word courtesy of Chuck Inglish/Cool Kids). Nike, you need to chill buddy.
