With his Nike signature sneaker line still being in production even though he is retired, Kobe Bryant definitely knows a thing or two about shoes. And since Bryant has this experience and knowledge, he was recently asked about Big Baller Brand — the line created by LaVar Ball and worn by Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.
Bryant is actually a fan of Big Baller Brand but also says the Balls better ensure that their products are high quality, otherwise they won’t be successful.
From Bryant’s interview with CNBC:
“I’m all for doing things differently,” Bryant said. “I just think you have to obsess over every single detail about that product … Before getting into the marketing and the storytelling of it all, you have to get the product right.
“That’s how you challenge the big guys, with innovation and high-quality product. Then you give yourself a serious fighting chance.”
Solid advice by Bryant, who is not a businessman but is a business, man.
