Last week we reported news that the YEEZY Season 2 appeal line would not release as anticipated. That report also indicated the Season 2 footwear would in fact drop on schedule on June 6.
We can now update that according to YEEZY label president, Pete Fox, that the footwear items releasing next month are not in association with adidas. Fox’s statement provides further details:
“As a first of several launch announcements planned for this year, the highly anticipated YEEZY footwear collection from Kanye West’s own signature line will be released globally on June 6, 2016 in select high-end fashion boutiques, specialty stores and online.”
The takeaway here is that the June 6 global release is for “Kanye West’s own signature line,” as in not produced in conjunction with adidas.
This, of course, does not mean that adidas YEEZY Boost aren’t releasing soon. It just means they aren’t releasing on June 6 as previously assumed.
