San Diego-based advertising agency, VitroRobertson and their client Asics has officially been awarded the Guinness World Record for the Largest Lite-Brite ever constructed. The record-setting light-installation was inspired by the original Hasbro Lite-Brite toy that was hugely popular during the late 1960s. The piece was constructed using 347,004 Lite-Brite colored pegs, creating a replica of the ASICS GEL-Lyte III that was 9 x 14 feet.
In 2009, the world’s largest Lite-Brite Asics Gel Lyte III will be touring the country, traveling to concerts, parties, and events like the Summer X-Games, The MTV Music Awards, and Lollapalooza.
