Wading deep into his sneaker collection, Sacramento Kings veteran guard Vince Carter rocked a vintage pair of his Nike Shox VC4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday. The Nike Shox VC4 came out in 2004 and the sneaker’s age were apparent during the game as they literally came apart while Carter playing defense.
As he was guarding Thunder big man Jermai Grant, Carter came to a hard stop and the left sole of his shoe came apart from the upper. Despite his shoes falling apart, Carter continued to play defense on the play. Carter however, finished the game in the Nike Air Max Dominate “BHM.”
