As far back as many of us can remember, the Vans Old Skool has been a skate centric model revered for its simplicity, stability, and iconic Sidestripe branding. But a lot has changed since the shoe first saw the light of day back in 1977. Much of which includes the necessity to adapt, evolve, and for sneakers to be multi-faceted. That said, the brand’s premium initiative, Vault by Vans, today introduces the Old Skool Zip LX. Updated in a full-grain leather upper, the Sidestripe silhouette now denotes a medial eyerow zipper for both function and aesthetics. Dropping this April in four introductory colorways – Andorra, Black, Peacoat and White – the Vault by Vans Old Skool Zip LX will retail for $125.
