Vans circles back to Los Angeles based artist collective, Brain Dead. Taking over the Summer with multiple release dates in June and July, the Vault by Vans x Brain Dead Collection offers a total of four different silhouettes including the Vans OG Half Cab LX, Vans OG Lampin LX, Vans OG Authentic LX, and the Vans OG Slip-On LX.
The first half of the collection focuses on the Vans OG Half Cab LX and Vans OG Lampin LX. The Vans Half Cab is celebrating its 30th Anniversary so it’s only right that the sneaker gets dressed festive colors. Brain Dead gives the silhouette a colorway that features light blue, purple, tan, and white. The multi-colored eyelets add a vibrant twist that pairs well with the bold laces. The Vans OG Lampin LX also adds color to the collection with shades of green, blue, and yellow. The second installment of the collection features the Vans OG Authentic LX and the Vans OG Slip-On LX. On both pairs Brain Dead reimagines Vans’ iconic checkerboard print by incorporating the brand’s signature head logo into the pattern.
The first installment of the Vault by Vans x Brain Dead Collection will be available on June 10th at Brain Dead Studios Fairfax and Brain Dead Studios Harajuku. To purchase online, visit wearebraindead.com on June 14th. The second half of the collection will be arriving on July 5th at 10am PST via wearebraindead.com. Then on July 9th, Brain Dead Studios stores and select Vault by Vans retailers will have the second installment available for purchase.
