Vans has tapped Japanese artist Taka Hayashi for their latest project, this time in the form of a “DIY” collection consisting of a Sk8-Hi and an Old Skool.
Both works of art, the outstanding artistic design begins with a tiger camo printed box that displays “Design It Yourself” in bold lettering. If that wasn’t an indicator to the set’s DIY purpose, the collaboration’s customizability is made evident from the various overlays and embroidered patches available.
Taking inspiration from military designs, dark greens and earth tones traverse both sneakers. Different patterns, from Cheetah to Tiger print, present themselves through different suede overlays.
The Taka Hayashi x Vans Sk8-Hi and Old Skool drop is currently available on BILLY’s for $268 USD and $240 USD.
