By appearances alone, this collection from the Vans LXVI division look just like any old set of basic Vans Classics. But when you pick up a pair, you’ll notice they are much lighter than each shoe’s traditional vulcanized sole construction. That’s thanks to the UltraCush Lite sole unit, a modified all-foam sole retains each model’s original shape while greatly reducing the weight and also adding more cushioning.
For Holiday 2014, Vans LXVI introduces a new set of Lites, including the Authentic Lite, Old Skool Lite and Sk8-Hi Lite, each with new colorways, prints, and premium materials. Within the Holiday 2014 set is an all-over floral pattern, a printed reptile motif, and an all-black colorway of the Authentic Lite with a waxed canvas upper. Elsewhere, the Old Skool Lite and Sky8-Hi Lite are featured in the traditional black and navy colorways found on their vulc-soled counterparts.
