Vans flips the script and their logo on the design of the Old Skool LX with this deconstructed iteration that’s part of their Cap LX collection.
Featuring a primarily tonal “Marshmallow” color blocking throughout the upper’s suede and canvas construction, the shoe is contrasted with teal hits on the sockliner, while the majority of the design continues with an “inside out look.”
The familiar leather jazz stripe is replaced with a foam application that creates a three dimensional effect, while a series of pull-tabs line the eye stay and medial angles, as the iconic checkerboard pattern subtly emerges on the sides. Lastly, the brand flips their signature heel bumper logo upside down with “Please Tear Here” tabs stitched above.
The Vans Old Skool Cap LX is expected to hit select Vans stockists, such as 43einhalb, on March 1.
