Vans creates something special with their Cultivate Care Collection, a series designed to highlight mental health and wellness. Consisting of sneakers, apparel, and accessories, the collection celebrates community and will be released in full family-sizing.
This collection is all about happiness and growth, which you see carried throughout the designs. Sneakers like the Sk8-Hi and Vans Old Skool are showered with flower designs and uplifting motifs. The hand-drawn elements represent the individual aspect of wellness and reminds us that the first step to mental health is being yourself. The gradient color scheme symbolizes the complex and ever-changing moods that pass through us collectively day-by-day. Vans wanted to create a collection that felt like sharing a page from your personal notebook and encouraged the power of connection to support optimism for the future.
In addition to the sneakers and apparel, Vans pledged to donate $75,000 to the Kind Campaign — a nonprofit organization that promotes awareness and education around mental health. Vans’ donation will help the Kind Campaign to continue on their journey of bringing awareness to the lasting negative effects of bullying.
The entire Vans Cultivate Care Collection is available now via Vans.com and Vans retail locations. Prices range from $14-$80. For more Vans releases and updates on all your favorites sneakers, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
