Vans Anaheim Factory is dedicated to the traditional production process done by Vans out of its Anaheim, California factory and storefront. Paying homage to the original vulcanized footwear comes the Vans Anaheim Factory Authentic 44 Deck DX Assortment.
This collection of the Vans Authentic 44 Deck DX will offer three colorways including Red, White, and a special Navy Anchors print inspired by a custom fabric once used by Vans in the early 1970s. Vans designers frequently reinterpret archived prints and vintage design details, but upgrade the archives with modern comfort. Each pair takes after Vans’ long history of reimagining various types of boat shoes from 1966 up until the mid-1990’s. Retro-inspired elements include the original style number, higher glossed foxing tape, original drill lining weight, and cotton laces. Rather than the iconic waffle-sole we all know today, this sneaker gets finished with a smooth blue bottom outsole. The thin rubber slits are useful for providing traction in wet conditions, referencing the silhouette’s original purpose as a deck shoe.
