Looks like the Union x Jordan AJKO 1 Low SP is just the beginning for Union‘s fleet of releases for 2023. Rumor has it another Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG will be dropping later this summer. People are also speculating that the upcoming Jordan may be a collab with Bephie’s Beauty Supply, who previously dropped two colorways of the Air Jordan 7 in August of 2022.

Bephie’s Beauty Supply belongs to Beth Birkett, who co-owns and operates Union LA with Chris Gibbs. Beth “Bephie” Birkett is married to Gibbs and has been a creative partner to him throughout their 27-year relationship. Bephie is also currently a judge on HBO’s streetwear competition design show, “The Hype.”

Rumors began to circulate that the upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan would be a collab with Bephie’s Beauty Supply after Chris Gibbs spoke to Sabukaru Online saying:

So, yeah, family is important to us, and my wife is the reason I got into the industry, to begin with, and we still work together every day. We actually have a couple of capsule collections coming out in the next year or so; the Nike Cortez that’s coming out in a couple of months, and that was my wife and I’s collaborative project that we got to work on together design-wise, but we also have a big Jordan collab coming out in the summer of 2023 that we worked on together, as well. We actually tell our origin story and how we met through clothing.

A first look at the upcoming pair confirms the originally speculated Sail/Wolf Grey/Muslin/Pale Vanilla/Kinetic Green/Metallic Gold combination. The upcoming collaboration differs drastically from the first Union x AJ1 installment as the shoe’s upper sports a woven pattern, akin to the Nike Footscape.
