Following numerous ZX 8000 collaborations, as part of its A-ZX series, adidas has now tapped professional German football club, 1. FC Union Berlin, for a new take on the aforementioned model.
Limited to just 1966 pairs, to match the founding year of the club, the special-edition 1. FC Union Berlin x adidas ZX 8000 is aptly dressed in Union Berlin’s colors with added green accents on the inner liner. The pair also pays homage to the city of Berlin and alludes to the club’s An der Alten Försterei stadium. Elsewhere, details including the club’s celebrated badge arriving on the lace dubrae and a bold “Union” is printed on the heels with matching logos.
The Union Berlin x adidas ZX 8000 is currently available to purchase via select adidas retailers and online. A stateside release has yet to be announced.
