Over the past few years, La Brea mainstay UNDEFEATED – a brainchild of co-founders Eddie Cruz and James Bond – has been focussing on its Asian expansion. Following the set-up of the first UNDFTD Store in Hong Kong’s luxury-labeled filled area of Causeway Bay’s Lee Garden back in 2018, the beloved sneaker boutique has recently opened a new Shanghai location, marking one of its largest stores to date.

Located in Shanghai City, Jing’an District, 789 Nanjing West Road, Shanghai Taikoo Hui L1 / N152, the new UNDFTD Shanghai chapter store, of course, filled with all the latest hyped sneaker and apparel wares, was designed by Masato Kure. Sport, music, and art along with other elements from other UNDFTD Chapter stores located across the US and Japan inspired the Shanghai store’s main design cues. Upcycled sports elements such as discarded backboards and used gym benches are incorporated into the design, thus helping the brand lower its environmental footprint.

For a dose of zen, the back of the store features a small Karesansui landscape. Lastly, a specially commissioned artwork by the iconic Los Angeles-based artist Geoff McFetridg is featured front and center of the store. Check out the images below.
