This week, Vans Vault turns ten years old. The Vault line is one of many Vans sectors that draws from the company’s skate DNA, focusing on fashion but still carrying the Cali coding.
While sub-labels exist in all footwear families, Vans Vault has proven the craftiest cousin of the skate shoe supplier. The Vault line has more than stayed above water since diving in a decade ago, swimming upstream to international boutiques and staying splashy with timely and eclectic collaborators. In celebration of Vans Vault’s anniversary milestone, we highlight different collections and collaborations from each year.
2003
In 2003, Vans Vault officially launched. High end in design and allocation, the early installments saw new seeding at select boutiques and lux materials on old favorites. This “Pony Hair” Old Skool was a preview of the premium personality the line would showcase.
