2014 has been a pretty good year for sneakers, but 2015 has the potential to be epic. Why you ask? While we’re sure Kobe, Kanye, LeBron and MJ will continue to push the bar for innovation and signature steeze, Tinker Hatfield has hinted at the possibility of a Nike MAG retro with power laces next year. Patent papers from a few years back support such expectations, with Nike previously shocking the world with the “It’s About Time” Nike MAG 2011 charity launch for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Though hitting the club, the mall or the hardwood in a fully functional Nike MAG would be a good look, rocking these on a hoverboard was always the OG move. First fictional in Back to the Future II and often imitated but never truly duplicated, Tony Hawk recently rode the world’s first real hoverboard. Created by Hendo and captured by RIDE, peep a video of the skate legend in action below. Let us know if this is the ultimate Nike MAG accessory (or vice versa) in the comment section.
