Timberland has established a name for itself, most notably with the 6-inch boot that’s withstood the test of time since its inception in the ’70s, and continues to progress and innovate in 2021. The iconic outdoor brand is still bringing the quality it’s known for with sustainability and being environmentally aware with the Timberland GreenStride Ultra and Ray City.

Men’s Timberland GreenStride TBL Originals Ultra Waterproof Boots

The Timberland GreenStride Ultra comes in wheat nubuck that fuses Timberland’s battle-tested quality with new sustainable features. The high-cut on the boot upper remains waterproof and uses leather from tanneries rated silver or high for its water, energy, and waste management practices. The black rubber rand that surrounds the upper brings contrast and protection from the elements, however big or small. The fabric liner and laces are made from at least 50% recycled plastic as well as the TimberDry waterproof lining on the Ultra.

Going down to the soles, the Ultra utilizes Timberland’s GreenStride Comfort Soles that are made from 75% renewable materials such as sugar cane and responsible natural rubber. Not only does that provide sustainability, but lightweight comfort to the boot without sacrificing durability and protection.

Women’s Timberland GreenStride Ray City Waterproof Boots

The Timberland GreenStride Ray City takes design elements of the classic 6-inch boot and puts a new spin on it. The ankle collar, eyelets, and debossed Timberland logo on the heel are familiar design elements and built with a sustainability-minded construction. The Ray City uses Better Leather from tanneries rated silver for its water, energy, and waste management practices and provides the waterproofing Timberland is known for. The fabric lining and laces are made from at least 50% recycled plastic and use a waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry in inclement conditions.

The black midsole uses the eco-friendly GreenStrideā„¢ Comfort Soles with a rubber lug outsole to battle harsh conditions and still be lightweight and comfortable.

Being eco-conscious doesn’t mean sacrificing performance and style and the new Timberland GreenStride collection is a testament to that. Whatever comes your way, whether it’s trekking through challenging environments or commuting around the city during a downpour, the GreenStride Ultra and Ray City are built to handle whatever is thrown their way without sacrificing style.

The Timberland GreenStride Ultra and Ray City are available now on Timberland.com and at select retailers for $170. Check out the editorial photos below featuring the Timberland GreenStride Ultra and Ray City.
