Nike Air Trainer Max 91- A hip replacement and extensive rehab caused Bo to miss the entire 1992 baseball season. During his rehab he had a short stint with a semi-pro basketball team in Los Angeles before he was ready to take the field for the Chicago White Sox. During rehab he promised his dying mother that he would play again and hit a home run for her. She died before his comeback debut against the New York Yankees where he hit a home run bomb at his first at bat. The next day Nike ran a full page ad in USA Today with the text ?Bo Knew?.

Bo?s last signature trainer, the Trainer Max ?91, was a culmination of the best attributes of his previous Nike?s. A waffle outsole from the Trainer 3, breathable mesh from the Trainer 2, and the aggressive cut of the SC models made the ?91s a big hit. The shoe is best known for its grey/yellow-black colorway and has gotten the retro treatment like previous Bo?s.
