Before Nike was the international goliath it is today, the company started out of a Volkswagen back when Jeff Johnson drove and delivered the product throughout the Los Angeles area in the 1960s. Blue Ribbon Sports eventually became Nike and the rest is history.

From the date of the brand’s inception found in the inner tongue to the heel that reads “1 of 3107” as the limited pair illustrates BRS’s first address — 3107 Pico Boulevard.
