Week 13 of the NFL season has come and gone and with that brought the league’s “My Cause My Cleats” initiative that spotlights causes of the player’s choosing which meant customs galore and of course The Shoe Surgeon got in on the action as well as giving the next generation a bigger platform.

As creative director, The Shoe Surgeon hand-selected four SRGN Academy alumni to customize cleats for All-Pro and Pro Bowlers Justin Jefferson, Derrick Henry, Michael Parsons, and Jalen Ramsey, each bringing attention to a different cause or initiative.

Justin Jefferson customized his cleats with the help of Ben Johnson (@sneakermechanic) with bringing awareness to gun violence and highlighting March For Our Lives. A portrait of the late rapper Takeoff is featured on the lateral left cleat with “March For Our Lives” featured on the medial side and “END GUN VIOLENCE” appears on the right lateral cleat with “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” on the medial side.

Derrick Henry’s custom cleats brings awareness to his Two All Foundation with the help of Kendall Roque (@kr0que) which levels the playing field for today’s youth so that their future success is not limited by the circumstances of their upbringing, background, disability, or influence. Two All’s logo is seen on the lateral heel with #TWOALLFOUNDATION seen on the heel on the purple-to-red gradient upper.

Ryan Fisk (@fiskcustoms) was the one to customize cleats for Micah Parsons which he chose Raise The Barr as the foundation to highlight whose mission is to increase opportunity and economic mobility for single-parent students and their families through education. Raise The Barr’s logo is seen on the lateral side with “Raise The Barr” seen in a graffiti-style tag against the faux brick on the purple backdrop.

Jalen Ramsey rocked a pair of custom Jordan 11 lows done by Jacob Marquart (@jakemakesart) which highlights Jalen’s foundation The Safety Corner, which has given thousands of meals throughout the LA area to local food banks. The Rams colors are seen on the upper and iconic rand around the shoe with The Safety Corner branding seen on the heel and a custom hangtag to go with the cleat.
