Having already teamed up with the likes of Takashi Murakami and Justin Bieber, SZA is the latest artist to receive her very own Crocs Classic Clog. Additionally, what makes this collaboration even more special, is that it coincides with Mental Health Awareness Month.
The SZA x Crocs Classic Clog is fully dressed in a wood grain print and embellished with a variety of Jibbitz charms that speak to SZA’s personality, along with her love for nature and inner peace. These charms include a weed leaf, an evil eye amulet, fishing lures, an inhaler, flowers, and a yin-yang symbol. Lastly, there is also a brain Jibbitz with “mental health matters” in colorful letters.
As part of the collaboration, SZA and Crocs partnered with three social advocates to bring attention to mental health and self-care. Crocs has pledged that it will donate to the Sad Girls Club, Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation and National Alliance on Mental Illness to further support those in need.
“I feel like mental health advocates are important because I need to look at somebody and be like, ‘Oh, this person that I didn’t expect to be dealing with this is dealing with something that’s similar to me,’” shared SZA in an official press release. “I love to be comfortable and I love to express myself at the same time and Crocs helps me do both of those things.”
