Keeping things California chic, the Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 “Surfman” is an ode to the surf-turned-streetwear brand’s SoCal roots. Stussy’s legacy began in the 80’s with surf and skate apparel, and has since evolved to more contemporary offerings.
Coming in “Plumeria” hemp canvas, this Converse Chuck 70 goes for a laid back look as majority of the upper is monochromatic. The Stussy Surfman sits on the lateral ankle, outfitted in classic “Black.” On the medial ankle, the area where the traditional Converse All-Star would be, is replaced by a circular “Plumeria” pink patch. The laces come ready in Black, which matches the sneaker’s foxing stripes. The tongue tag features Converse “All Star” branding written in Stussy’s signature font alongside their signature star. For final touches, “Stussy” appears on the back of the tongue, as well as on the insole.
The Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 “Surfman” releases on September 1, 2022. The retail price is listed at $110. To purchase, visit Converse.com and select retailers. For more sneaker news and release dates, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
