After a record-breaking $1.5 million sale of Michael Jordan’s 1984 Nike Air Ships last week, Sotheby’s is back with the extremely rare Entourage Collection. This exclusive series is a curation of special sneakers from HBO’s hit show “Entourage.”

Since its debut back in 2004, there hasn’t been a show quite like Entourage. The series catapulted to success with its comedic storytelling and group of spontaneous characters trying to make it Hollywood. Watching an episode of Entourage is a time machine back to Hollywood’s Playboy era filled with inflated egos, tabloid culture, A-list parties, and all the gaudy materialism of the early 2000’s.

Entourage was also widely admired for its spot-on understanding of culture and trends happening throughout Los Angeles. This can be seen in Sotheby’s Entourage collection as the auction includes two sneakers from Undefeated, one of LA’s premiere sneaker boutiques. Over the years Undefeated has become one of the most respected names in sneakers, but back when Entourage first aired, Undefeated had only been open for a couple of years, proving that show was at the forefront of trendsetters.

In the episode, “What About Bob,” Turtle and Vinny head to Undefeated as Turtle is trying to add another pair of sneakers to his collection. In honor of that episode, Sotheby’s is auctioning off the Undefeated x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Fukijama Gold” — the sneakers that Turtle was trying to hunt down. This episode featured an additional “University Blue” pair which will also be apart of the auction.

The Gold Fukijama Air Force 1 Low and Air Force 1 Premium Georges “Entourage” were designed by Undefeated and Nike in celebration of the show. The Fukijama Air Force 1 Lows are definitely Ari Gold approved, as the pair is estimated to sell for $90,000. The sneakers feature laser-etched graphics, metallic gold leather panels, UNDFTD branding, and a black Nike Swoosh. The Air Force 1 Premium Georges “Entourage” is expected to sell at upwards of $14,000. Similar to the gold pair, these sneakers have laser-etched graphics that reference LA and Queens Boulevard — a nod to the characters’ move from New York City to Los Angeles.

The auction will also include a Friends and Family pair of the Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low with a signed box by the Entourage cast: Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara, and Kevin Dillion. Sotheby’s Entourage collection will be on public display at their new flagship location in Los Angeles from November 1st-6th. However, the bidding will take place online at Sothebys.com from November 1st-10th. Fans looking to attend the opening reception of the collection can visit Sotheby’s LA on Monday, November 1st at 6 p.m. PST.

UPDATE 11/12/21

The Sotheby’s Entourage Collection auction ended a few days ago and featured seven pairs of sneakers that were up for auction, most notable the Fukijama Nike Air Force 1 Lows that were estimated to sell for $90,000, ended up selling for $113,400. The Nike Air Force 1 Premium Georges sold for $12,600 as well as the Entourage cast signed pair of the Friends and Family Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low for the same amount.

The rest of the auction can be seen on Sotheby’s website and a few were sold without the price being public as well.
