Following the “Recess” launch of the Air Max Penny 1, Social Status is back at it again — this time on the playground.
The Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 2 “Playground” collection takes place on the blacktop as young James and Dez play their highly-anticipated 1-on-1 game. The short film, directed by Julien & Justen Turner, encompasses the nature of the game with trash talk, side bets, and everything in between.
The Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 2s include embroidered co-branding logos, 3M details, a commemorative copper Penny 2 hangtag, and are both packed in a Lil Penny toy-inspired shoe box to honor the legacy of the shoe in a new way.
The Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 2 “Playground” launch starts on September 20 as the black & university blue colorway will take place via local in-store raffles at every Whitaker Group store alongside a general raffle on the Social Status website and a TWG Discord Member-Only Draw, both taking place on September 20 as well.
The black & university blue colorway will officially launch on September 30 for $200 on SocialStatusPGH.com in men’s sizes 4-14/women’s 5.5-15.5. A release date for the white & university blue has not been announced but is expected to release in a similar method later on.
