Collecting sneakers for some is more than just a hobby, it’s a way of life. But what do you do when you have to part ways with your coveted kicks in order to change your living arrangement? If you still don’t know, then just ask 30-year-old Chinese sneakerhead Mick who recently pawned his 283 pair collection, worth one million yuan or $160K, to secure a down payment on an apartment before he gets married. Though the heat he’s collected over the last 20 years may be gone, Mick’s sacrifice will surely pay off in the long-term. Though he is cashing in on the kicks now, Mick has plans to reacquire his massive collection after a little bit of saving. Would you sell your entire collection to cop a crib? Sound off in the comments section below, and let us know if you’d be able to part ways with your precious kicks and make the same life choice.
