If you follow @nicekicks on Instagram, you probably know that we have a pretty big interest in sneakers (of course), but also the art that it inspires.  Now more than ever artists are able to get their work discovered with the use of hashtags on the digital image sharing platform including a ton of talented graphic artists who have started using the tag #sneakerart.

Today, we spotlight one artist who is a frequent contributor to the #sneakerart hashtag – @sneakerpie known in the real life as Brian Doyle.  Brian, a native of Buffalo, NY, is a recent graduate of Canisius College, full time freelance illustrator and “is not trying to get a 9-5 anytime soon” as he puts it.

While Brian’s sneaker focussed account launched back in just October of this year, he has quickly built a following with more than 8,700 followers and fans of his work at the time of this article.

The beauty of the #sneakerart community on IG is that everyone has their own unique and creative spin on sneakers.  Brian posts a variety of different styles, but one that caught our attention from jump was his mashups of the Nike Roshe Run with other sneakers.  Classics of old and new have been Rosheified by him, but we have posted our favorite pieces he has done blending iconic Air Jordans with the Roshe Run.

Besides giving @sneakerpie a follow, we also encourage you to check out his online shop where you can obtain a wide variety of his work on different mediums from framed prints, to canvas prints, and wearables including T-shirts, hoodies, and even baby clothes.
