Over the course of the past week, hip hop has seen its reigning champ and most ferocious contender spar in a battle that sadly started in Tweets but has thankfully moved on to beats. For those not keeping track with rap Internets, Drake and Meek Mill are dropping records, and it’s interesting to say the least.
But we’re not here to talk rap, we’re here to talk kicks.
Both Drizzy Drake and Meek Milly have rather decorated footwear resumes, rocking a variety of heat during their come-up and eventually landing major deals with two of the biggest brands in footwear. A longtime friend of the Jordan family, the OVO MC signed with JB back in 2013, announcing it on tour while in Portland. Not too different in path, MMG’s Philly product became the headliner for PUMA in 2012, leading a growing artist lineup.
