Skepta’s second collaborative release with Nike earlier this year was a striking sole-swapped version of the Air Max Big Window. Taking from the shoe’s OG white and red colorway with a splash of blue, an Air Max 97 sole unit upholds the lightweight silhouette in a masterful juxtaposition of timeless Air Max styles.
The grime artist saw great success with his sophomore Swoosh shoe. So much in fact that the silhouette will now release as a standalone.
The Nike Air Max 97/BW is reported to release next season in a sleek black and navy colorway with varying textures and full-length Air cushioning. Skepta will not be a collaborative partner for this inline pair and foreseeable others. Stay tuned for release details.
