Salehe Bembury’s New Balance 991v2 Collab Is Now Available

Salehe Bembury‘s collaborative streak continues as the renowned designer teased his newest creation: the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 991v2.

The relationship between Bembury and the Boston-based brand has been strong since its inception and will carry its momentum into the latest franchise model in the New Balance 991v2, a continuation of the New Balance 991 which debuted in the 2000s.

Like his work with other brands such as Crocs, ANTA, Yeezy, and soon PUMA, Bembury’s work with New Balance redefined the landscape of sneaker design, blending new-age aesthetics with top-tier craftsmanship.

Since the partnership’s inception, Bembury’s unique vision has breathed new life into New Balance’s portfolio. His debut with the 2002R “Peace Be the Journey” set a high bar, merging earthy tones with bold textures inspired by natural landscapes.

The design language and attention to detail will continue with the collaborative Salehe Bembury x New Balance 991v2 that features a hairy suede upper in purple with blue and green details. The inspiration and story remain a mystery at the moment.
