As we approach Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season, the NFL is running its My Cause My Cleats initiative that spotlights causes of their choosing and Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson and Kansas City Chiefs LB Nick Bolton are supporting ESPN’s V Foundation as it’s current V Week across ESPN platforms.
Russ has been wearing the Nike Alpha Menace Elite 2/3 all season and that hasn’t changed for Week 13. His cleats are dedicated to those affected by cancer and his close friend and business partner Trevor Moawad who passed away from cancer last year. In conjunction with the V Foundation, his cleats also has messaging from his non-profit Why Not You Foundation which is seen across the strap as well as Jimmy V’s “Don’t Ever Give Up” quote surrounding the toe.
Bolton is will be wearing a mismatched pair of Nike Vapor Edge Elite 360s with one in pink and the other in grey, representing breast and brain cancer respectively. His mother Jalunda’s name is in script on the breast cancer side as she battled and overcame the disease in 2015 with the grey pair featuring Jaz, dedicated to his sister who battled and overcame brain cancer in 2010. The V Foundation logo is seen on the grey shoe with “Victory Over Cancer” on the pink one.
