The adidas Springblade presented intriguing technology and caused a stir when it was released in August, due both to its visual appearance and performance capabilities. Although they were built to help runners be more productive, the 16 revolutionary blades were designed to propel users FORWARD. Questions arose about the model’s capabilities to backpedal and do anything other than run straight ahead. adidas attempts to put those rumors to rest with a video of the shoes working just as well backwards as they do forwards.
