Renarts x Reebok LX8500 Plays off the ’86 Mets

Showcasing stars like Darryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden, the 1986 Mets were as talented as they come. While turmoil eventually plagued the team, the squad provides the inspiration on the Renarts x Reebok LX8500 “Dead End Kids” Collection — playing off a Sports Illustrated headline centered around the team and its stars.

Mets blue tags the suede accents while a black base represents the darkness surrounding said team. Orange and blue 3M piping coincides with the squad shades while also offering a nod to the neon signs that once resided in Shea Stadium.

While the shoes will drop solo for $130, corresponding shirts and hoody collabs with Mitchell & Ness will also release. Look for the collection to launch at Renarts on October 18th at 7 PM with online availability following on October 20th at 11 AM.
