Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had an incredible impact on society. ?Not just during his days on Earth or during the Civil Rights Movement, but for decades after his?assassination. ?His speeches are some of the most moving I have ever heard and still give me chills today. ?I can only imagine how powerful, inspiring, and moving they were to hear in person. ?King’s “I have a dream” speech may be the most recognized and historic, but one equally as moving was the last he delivered the day before he was?assassinated. ?From his words to his emotions you could tell that Martin Luther King feared nothing and had courage that many of us would dream of having.

So far we have come in the past 41 years since the world lost Martin Luther King, but there is still progress to be made. ?In honor of Dr. King, I think it is only right to find injustices whether it be something you experience first hand or that affects others and commit yourself to standing up against it.

Thank you Dr. King for all of the lessons and inspiration you have given to us all.
