It’s the end of an era as Pyer Moss and the brand’s Creative Director Kerby Jean-Raymond bid farewell to Reebok. Kerby celebrated his birthday by announcing that the Reebok by Pyer Moss Collection 4.5 would be the final capsule of the partnership. Over the last 5 years Pyer Moss has delivered experimental designs that pushed Reebok into a new realm.
The departure comes with a heavy, but proud heart as the Pyer Moss website was left with a note that reads:
IN 2017, WE FORMED A PARTNERSHIP WITH REEBOK. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS INTENDED TO PROMOTE 2 SNEAKERS DURING AN 18 MONTH TERM, BUT SOON BECAME PART OF A 5 YEAR JOURNEY AS WE LEVERAGED OUR CREATIVITY TO MAKE MUCH MORE THAN 2 SHOES. AFTER OUR COLLECTION 1 RUNWAY SHOW, WE PROVED OURSELVES TO BE WORTHY OF MUCH MORE THAN TEMPORARY CULTURAL TOURISM.
WE USED THIS OPPORTUNITY TO NOT ONLY ELEVATE THE REEBOK BRAND IN TOTAL, BUT TO ELEVATE AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO THE CREATIVE COMMUNITY AROUND US WITH OUR NEW RESOURCES IN THE FORM OF CAPITAL AND DISTRIBUTION. WE TOOK EVERYONE WITH US.
WE CONTINUE TO CENTER SELF-REALIZATION, SPIRITUALITY AND A HIGHER SENSE OF COMMUNITY IN ALL OF OUR WORK.
COLLECTION 4 IS ENTITLED “UZGD.”
THIS IS THE LAST REEBOK BY PYER MOSS COLLECTION EVER.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER. IN THE SPIRIT OF LOVE WE HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE THIS CHAPTER WITH SUPPORT FROM OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO HAVE BEEN OUR SUPPORT SYSTEM AND BACKBONE THROUGHOUT THESE YEARS.

THE FUTURE IS EXTREMELY BRIGHT AND EXCITING.
As an extension of the Reebok by Pyer Moss Collection 4, the final capsule includes three new colorways of the Pyer Moss x Reebok Experiment 4. Corresponding apparel will also be released, with vibrant technicolor hues dressing both the sneakers and clothing.
