Under the same principles, PUMA just announced its collaboration with First Mile by launching an entire capsule filled with sneakers and performance engineered apparel that is as sustainable as it can get.
The PUMA x First Mile collection uses recycled plastic bottles and turns them into a high-tech yarn that is perfectly spun into sneakers and clothes.
The collection, which will run throughout the entire year, will repurpose 40 tons of plastic waste by reusing nearly 2 million plastic bottles. In addition to that, the partnership also draws on First Mile’s ethos of strengthening economies by creating sustainable jobs in Haiti, Honduras and Taiwan by removing waste.
