Inspired by 90’s skate ads comes the PUMA x Butter Goods Collection. The Australian skate brand teamed up with PUMA to create a full footwear and apparel collection that revives the vintage skate aesthetic.

Founded in Perth in 2008, Butter Goods’ founders grew up skating and wanted to capture the nostalgia that arises when looking back on the influential heyday of skateboarding circa 1990’s. The campaign features a kitschy throwback bedroom that is filled to the brim with vintage posters, skateboards, and knick knacks. You can see the influence of these items in the design elements of the collection, as the sneakers take influence from the past, but reinterpret them in a way that fits in with modern streetstyle.

The collection features a mix of PUMA’s sport heritage and classic silhouettes that are dressed in a bold 90’s-inspired color palette. For this collection PUMA brings back the Slipstream, one of their most iconic basketball silhouettes from the ‘80s. The sneaker comes in black and white options, with green nylon piping on the formstrip, a co-branded tongue, and suede detailing. This collection also features new renditions of the PUMA x BUTTER GOODS Basket VTG, that comes in two additional colorways with a unique corduroy upper, in blue and orange options.

The PUMA x Butter Goods Collection is set to release on September 4, 2021 with prices ranging from $40 – $160. You can purchase the collection from PUMA.com or at select retailers.
