Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is always cooking something up and for the living legend’s latest venture, his Under Armour backed footwear brand, Project Rock, releases its first ever co-branded collection with UFC. It was announced earlier this year that Dwayne Johnson and UA signed an agreement making Project Rock the official footwear partner of the UFC. For the duo’s co-branded footwear debut, their inaugural collection features the Project Rock x UFC BSR 2 and the Project Rock Slides.
“For Those Who Walk the Walk,” the BSR 2 and Project Rock Slides will support all UFC athletes and corners, in-and-out of the Octagon. Dwayne Johnson and UFC engineered the footwear collection with a heightened focus on innovation, technology, and quality.
“The men and women warriors of UFC compete in their iconic Octagon with pride,
purpose, passion, intensity and MANA,” said Johnson. “Legacy is a very important word to me and our Project Rock is proud to deliver training gear to help support and fuel all UFC athletes who seek to establish their own impactful legacy in UFC and beyond.”
The Project Rock BSR 2 training shoe is named after Johnson’s iconic phrase — “Blood, Sweat and Respect: The first two you give, the last one you earn.” — a saying that rings true for the work ethic of the UFC athletes. The sneaker comes in unisex sizing and provides stability for strength training, flexibility for HIIT, and cushioning for mobility. The sneaker has a lightweight design made with a red mesh upper and and speckled grey midsole. The heel counter features Project Rock’s signature bull logo, while the UFC logo can be seen on the tongue tag.
The Project Rock Slides are a must-have for post-workout recovery. The slides pair Charged Cushioning with a Michelin Wild Gripper outsole to provide restoring comfort and revitalizing support.
You can catch both the BSR 2 and Project Rock Slides in Paris this weekend at the UFC FIGHT NIGHT: GANE VS TUIVASA on September 3, 2022. To kick off the UFC’s first-ever event in France, Project Rock will be providing the footwear collection to all of the athletes competing as apart of their official fight kits.
