2003 ushered in a new class of talent. After a successful run of PEs as a high schooler, LeBron James became the top dog at Nike basketball. His signature line began development before he walked across the stage later spawning sub-brands and modern day classics. Third pick Carmelo Anthony began his tenure with Jordan Brand as a rookie rocking PEs. Melo would become the first JB endorsee to have his own branded line. Converse signed an impressive roster including Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Kirk Hinrich. Prior to leaving for Jordan Brand, Wade was given a signature line. Late first rounder Josh Howard eventually landed a spot on Team Jordan.
