Known for teaming up with some of the biggest collaborators in the footwear game, California mainstay Vault by Vans has tapped Japanese heritage label PORTER for its new capsule.
Marking the first time the duo have worked together, the highly-anticipated PORTER x Vault by Vans comprises a range of footwear silhouettes along with a lineup of baggage and baggage accessories, which is a specialty of the Japanese brand.
In terms of footwear, the collaborative range comprises two OG Old Skool LX, an OG Classic Slip-On VLT LX, and an OG Sk8-Hi Reissue VLT LX. Each aforementioned model successfully mixes design ethos from both labels, such as Vans’s signature check print with PORTER’s bright orange hue (which is featured as the lining inside of its bags). Black acts as the backdrop for each pair, while hits of orange help to elevate the insoles, laces, and Van’s sidestripe. An additional print sees a monochromatic “aloha/flora” motif appearing on the classic Slip-Ons.
A briefcase, wallet, and luggage tag will be joining the lineup. Look for the PORTER x Vault by Vans collection to release at select retailers starting February 20.
