Poggy, Creative Director of Japan-based menswear label, United Arrows has become a style icon over the years and is always in regular attendance at the most bustling fashion shows and footwear events. This time, the menswear aficionado has teamed up with PUMA to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Suede and reimagines it with his own cultural spin.
Poggy’s rendition of the Suede is inspired by traditional Japanese tabi socks, featuring a knitted indigo sock design with suede paneling on the sides. The shoe utilizes a Kohaze closure system, which fastens with a set of hooks on the heel, while a gum midsole adds subtle contrast to maintain the heritage street style look.
The POGGYTHEMAN x PUMA Suede Collection is expected to release at select PUMA retailers and online on September 15.
