Parley Uses Recycled Ocean Plastic to Create an adidas Nizza Hi

Sustainability brand, Parley, joins forces with adidas to create the Parley x adidas Nizza Hi. Parley is an ocean rescue mission with their main initiative to remove plastic waste. Each year, an estimated 10 million tons of plastic trash ends up in our oceans (via Lawnstarter). Parley removes a portion of this littered plastic from our coastlines and from the five main ocean gyres. Once the plastic waste is collected, Parley is able to break down the plastic and transform it into something new.

Aside from its sustainability feature, this adidas Nizza Hi is special because it has a platform midsole. The upper stays true to its traditional high top design, with the exception of the upgraded pull tab on the heel. The colorway is a marbleized gradient that fades from hues of coral to pink. To complete the look, the sneaker is finished with a co-branded trefoil tongue tab.
